This is the advert I helped contribute towards, I personally feel that it came out well, and we hit the target message and audience we aimed for. I would say personally that we should hire a better actor next time. The actor being myself, did a decent job, but I feel as though I could've had more of an impact on the project as a whole if I had performed better.
When we started planning we both decided what roles we would take, including the documents we need to handle. I handled most of the pre-production including booking and planning what times to shoot.
Once my partner booked out, we took out a Canon C100 before travelling to Saltburn to film. The weather was sunny and complemented the picture, filming in the woods. We had to use a different camera after the original died for somewhat no reason when filming at my house.
The quality wasn't as good in the other camera, after filming we compiled the footage and found it good enough to use.
It turns out the editing went successfully and the music used with the sound effects was perfect, I couldn't have asked for anything better.
The focus group was decent, finding a quiet space for the group to show the advert. The feedback was positive and it seemed that the group said the text was nice and not always in the way. The visibility of the text was fine and present, and they adored the music that set the mood. They did however say the text was basic which we can improve on, we should make the text suit the ad more and the message we're going for.
We could've improved out time management, it took us a long while before we even planned the correct time and date to shoot. Next time I shouldn't be off as much and have more communication with my partner.
